The story
Upright ears and a rounded body make the rabbit recognisable before the finer decoration comes into view. Leaves and blossoms follow the curve of its back, separated by thin metal wires and punctuated with turquoise enamel.
Its softly compact form works well as a small shelf accent or a thoughtful gift for someone drawn to animal figures. Give it a simple surface rather than an elaborate display; the contrast between the familiar silhouette and the busy floral pattern supplies its character.
Attribution note
Chinese decorative cloisonné; likely mid-to-late 20th-century export-era styling, consistent with the seller's export-era production attribution; not independently dated.
