The story

The thin blue glass catches light around its darker rim, while an orchid-and-butterfly composition occupies the centre. Fine stems and small coloured details contrast with the open transparent ground.

The source seller describes it as a smoking dish. Today it can be displayed on a shelf or hold a light non-food keepsake on a soft protective insert. Avoid using it as an ashtray or exposing the painted decoration to heat.
