Condition
Visible scratches, dulling, uneven patina, greenish oxidation, irregular metal edges and prominent seams. Some join lines appear open; structural significance and mount stability require hands-on inspection. The mounts conceal parts of the porcelain, so hidden chips, cracks or repairs cannot be ruled out. The underside mark remains unverified.
Some object or delivery details may still be marked to be confirmed. Please clarify anything essential before ordering.

The story
An unusual old object, given another life.
A rounded blue-and-white porcelain body is held within a cage of patinated metal, with a pierced crown above and a flared foot below. Painted double-happiness characters and floral scrolls meet scalloped edges, narrow straps and small applied ornaments: a distinctive object for a sideboard, shelf or collected interior.
This piece is selected for the character of its apparent transformation. Read as a porcelain vessel adapted into a candleholder with fitted metal mounts, it brings two kinds of workmanship into one silhouette. The smooth glazed body and time-worn metal retain their separate identities, giving the object the feeling of something kept, reworked and carried forward.
Its appeal lies in that second chapter: an old form finding a new place in the home. The particular combination of blue decoration, pierced fittings and uneven patina gives this example its individual presence.
Attribution note
Offered as a vintage, repurposed porcelain-and-metal candleholder. The interpretation as an adapted vessel is based on its assembled construction and the owner's description; the original vessel's purpose and the date of conversion are unrecorded. Chinese-style blue-and-white decoration is visible, but a precise production date, workshop and manufacturing location are not established. An impressed mark beneath the metal foot is not reliably read or authenticated.
